Frequently Asked Questions
General Info
When do tickets go on sale?
General tickets are released online on the first of April.
Can I just buy a ticket on the day of the event?
You can, though pre-sale tickets offer the best price, guarantee you a spot and help with our planning!
Some events – especially the Taste The Region Dinner – will sell out, so get your tickets early. Gate sales for Street Feast will be higher than the online price, to reward all those early birds…
Can I bring my pet?
All Forage Festival events are pet-free. Guide dogs, assistance and companion animals are permitted.
Are all festival venues accessible?
Yes – all venues are accessible, though as Stanley is set on the side of a large hill, there is not a whole lot of flat or level surfaces.
We encourage you to contact us on hello@foragefestival.com.au to discuss your specific needs.
Who is behind the Forage Festival?
The Stanley & Tarkine Forage Festival is an initiative of the Circular Head Tourism Association – a not-for-profit, volunteer-run community organisation dedicated to sharing the beauty of north west Tasmania with the rest of the world.
We employ a professional event manager to organise the nuts and bolts… but at its core, Forage Festival is very clearly focused on the community.
Can I get involved?
You sure can – please check the “Get Involved” tab on the main menu – we love support!
Taste The Region Dinner
What does my ticket price include?
Your ticket buys a unique degustation experience; Josh Perry is creating a specific menu just for us… possibly even recreating some of his famed Masterchef dishes? You will also be greeted with a welcome glass of sparkling on arrival.
While a delicious wine list and bar service will be available, this is not included in the ticket price.
Are children welcome?
They technically are… but there is no child ticket price.
Space in the venue is extremely limited, and due to the anticipated popularity of the event each and every seat is highly prized, coveted and ravenously sought after.
Do you offer refunds?
We will offer a “ticket buyback” service up to 48 hours before the event – that is, if you notify us that you are unable to attend with enough lead time, we will attempt to on-sell your ticket to our waiting list. This is not a guaranteed refund.
For ticket buybacks, please email tickets@foragefestival.com.au
Will Pezza be there?
Of course! He’s the one cooking… plus he’ll introduce each and every course.
Is there car parking at the venue (Highfield House)?
Yes, but it is limited.
To ensure there’s enough space for everyone, please try to fill all the seats in your car! Or consider the bus…
Is there a bus?
There may well be. Ticket sales will include a registration of interest for a shuttle bus to Stanley and / or Smithton.
Street Feast
What does my ticket price include?
Your ticket is for entry into the Street Feast precinct, including 5 hours of music programming for your ears’ content.
Food and drinkies are not included.
Are children welcome?
Of course! Everyone is welcome – this is an inclusive, family-friendly, community event.
Is there car parking?
The official car park for Street Feast is at the Recreation Ground… a casual ten minute walk from the festival site.
Can I smoke?
Nope. Street Feast is a smoke free event.
Can I bring my own food & drinks?
Well… you can bring your own food to Street Feast, but it’d kind of defeat the purpose of being there.
You definitely can’t bring your own alcohol though – the site is licensed.
Are there passouts? Can I leave and come back?
Yes – you’ll receive a wristband at the gate and will be able to come and go as you please.
